Our holiday in France was once again so great, every year i'm loving the place more and more..

We saw so many beautiful old villages, had the best weather ever and just enjoyed every single minute. Didn't they say pictures tell more than a thousand words?

I totally agree with that so here are some of our first week,

week 2 will follow later.

 

Oh, just one more thing, i'm in love with Roussillon, the red village!

I think i want to live there :)

 

Somewhere in France...

... we're having the times of our lives!

Bf and i always said we wouldn't become those people who choose the same destination every year over and over again. But then we arrived here, fell in love and are here for the 5th summer now!

It feels like coming home, every year more and more! Bruno, the french owner , welcomes us with homegrown tomatoes and lets us enjoy our time here in quietness.

 

I think you could say we've lost our ♥'s here!!

Finally some pics of our time in France! I've got so many i could show pics for weeks but here's a small selection.... The beautiful cat is one of the many cats that were hanging around our holidayhouse. I always feel more at home when there are cats around, cause i miss mine while i'm away! So we buy food in the shop to feed them and pretend they are ours :)

I'm behind in showing my mail here & also a bit in answering.. but i'm writing you all back, promise!! And Heidi, your letter arrived today! Thank you so much, enjoyed it!!

Anyone of you that has been in Madrid? Tips for places we should see for sure? Or secondhand shops, or fleamarkets, or nice places to eat/drink?

Vide grenier finds from France

Here are the treasures i found in France at the vide greniers. All for nice small prices, even the very old set with tarot cards from B.P. Grimaud! I looked it up and it's from 1890! We bought it for 50 cents, good catch!

My feet in France!

I decided to make a daily Instagram of my feet in France :) A reminder to the places we've visited and also easy to see what weather it was!

We had such a great time: saw lots of charming little villages, made nature walks, had breakfast outside, took care of the bunch of cats that were hanging around our holidayhouse (they were with 10! maybe even more...), went to 'vide greniers' or flea markets, enjoyed doing nothing on sunny terraces, did lots of swimming in the pool,...

I'll show you some pictures in another blogpost, after i decided which ones..all those pretty things in France, so many things to snap!

Back in town..

So bf and i are back from a wonderful holiday in la France, days flew by too quick and as always.. it felt as a sort of homecoming! I really think i lived in France in a previous life :)

We visited lots of charming small villages with the cutest houses, and i saw so many cats!! They were everywhere! And ofcourse i had to pet them all...

Our holidayhouse even had a whole cat-family nearby, i counted close to 10 cats!

Thank you all for your kind words about my dad! We went to visit him first thing yesterday after we entered Belgium and i was surprised he looked so 'good' already! He was in lots of pain first days after his surgery. But all went well so i guess that kind of makes up for the pain...

And now i'm going to cuddle my cats some more :D

Holiday vs real life

Bf & i will enjoy some time off in France, i've been looking forward to this trip and going back to what i call 'my second home'. Can't wait to wake up surrounded by mountain views...

It feels a bit weird though, my dad is having his surgery to take away a tumor in his prostate on monday so he'll be in hospital while we're away. It's anoying i can't go for a visit after his surgery but he convinced us we can't do a lot there anyway.

So we'll be keeping our thumbs up in France!

Dreaming of..

Holidays.. being lazy... reading books... enjoying good weather... spending day & night with bf... visiting lovely french villages... swimming outside...

All this and more in 6weeks, can't wait!

For now.. i'll have to do with daydreaming during these busy holiday-weeks at work.
