France

Our holiday in France was once again so great, every year i'm loving the place more and more..

We saw so many beautiful old villages, had the best weather ever and just enjoyed every single minute. Didn't they say pictures tell more than a thousand words?

I totally agree with that so here are some of our first week,

week 2 will follow later.

 

Oh, just one more thing, i'm in love with Roussillon, the red village!

I think i want to live there :)

 

Holiday

A quick Instagram-hello to keep this blog a little bit alive...
Bf & i are enjoying 2 weeks off work, no holiday trip this time but instead a lot of day trips in Belgium. And they are good fun as well, especially in this nice summer weather.
Flea markets are everywhere and i found some nice things, a lot of postcards and wooden figures for my collections!

Finally also some time to write back to some people who have been waiting for a while...
And more mail of mine arrived here and here.

From my full shopping bag on Etsy i managed to choose some new pretty tapes!
There's a mt tape expo in Singapore right now, wish i could attempt some of the workshops..
(and buy some more pretty tape ;-) )

I'm off again! Enjoying outside life some more...
Ohhh and some days ago, suddenly a cat appeared in our garden, friendly right from the start!
I think he's here to stay, he behaves like he has always been here and comes for cuddles all the time...
So we're back to 4 cats!

A little trip

Totally out of the blue, bf and i decided to make a little trip on thursday and friday. We booked a hotel in Best, close to Eindhoven and the only thing we looked up were local thriftstores :)

We had fun, found good treasures in the thriftstores and look at the nice colorful chairs they have there! I also love all the wooden furniture they've made, like the table!

 

On friday we've visited Nijmegen, did some good shopping and threated ourselves with some deliscious pancakes... mmmmm!!

 

And ofcourse i visited the Tiger shop and left with a bag full of cute stuff  :)

 

I'm about to follow a course of patchwork with a friend, how exciting!! I already have some ideas of what i want to make...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My feet in Madrid

Our citytrip to Madrid was super! I didn't really know what to expect cause i heard different opinions but the trip turned out to be a success.

All the beautiful buildings, nice neighbourhoods, lots of green in the city, very clean, lots of squares with cosy terraces & yummy sangria, all the tasty tapas, shops shops shops and ofcourse the beautiful weather!! I'm in for a trip to Madrid anytime :)

Oh and i discovered this shop we don't have in Belgium, 'Tiger'! There are a few in Holland i think and in Germany but none in Belgium.. In Madrid i counted 12 of them!! If only i could take one with me home :) All the cool stuff they have for cheap prices, i went nuts and would have bought everything if i could..

Tomorrow we're going to see Pearl Jam on a festival, very curious for that!

They were the first band i bought a cd of & i never got a chance to see them live.

France

Finally some pics of our time in France! I've got so many i could show pics for weeks but here's a small selection.... The beautiful cat is one of the many cats that were hanging around our holidayhouse. I always feel more at home when there are cats around, cause i miss mine while i'm away! So we buy food in the shop to feed them and pretend they are ours :)

I'm behind in showing my mail here & also a bit in answering.. but i'm writing you all back, promise!! And Heidi, your letter arrived today! Thank you so much, enjoyed it!!

Anyone of you that has been in Madrid? Tips for places we should see for sure? Or secondhand shops, or fleamarkets, or nice places to eat/drink?

My feet in France!

I decided to make a daily Instagram of my feet in France :) A reminder to the places we've visited and also easy to see what weather it was!

We had such a great time: saw lots of charming little villages, made nature walks, had breakfast outside, took care of the bunch of cats that were hanging around our holidayhouse (they were with 10! maybe even more...), went to 'vide greniers' or flea markets, enjoyed doing nothing on sunny terraces, did lots of swimming in the pool,...

I'll show you some pictures in another blogpost, after i decided which ones..all those pretty things in France, so many things to snap!
