About a handmade gift

In the beginning of 2012 i felt like picking up crocheting again, i loved to crochet when i was a kid, they teached us in primary school!

I wanted to make a plaid with lots of beautiful colors...

And as my friend and i planned to give eachother handmade gifts with christmas '12 i decided this would be a gift for her.

I worked on it all year long, once you've started not difficult at all. Working on it always made me feel relaxed!

Some days before our presents-swap i gave it the finishing touch and here it finally is,

keeping my friend warm during these cold winter days!

 

(oh and i've already started a new one! I missed working on it...)

 

 

 

 

 

Shop update

I know it has been quiet when it comes to me and my jewelry making..

During summerholidays my work seems to eat all my creative space in my head and creating jewelry isn't an option with an empty head!

After the busy times ideas start to pop up again, and everywhere i go i see things that are an inspiration. Isn't it weird how your mind sometimes is closed for inspiration? I really don't like it when my work does that to my mind!

 

Anyway, a lot of new necklaces, earrings and rings are ready to be photographed, so i'll be slowly adding them in my Etsy-shop.

About a late christmas gift...

Who needs christmasgifts in december if you can get one in the middle of summer?

It's something Mina & i agree on, it's christmas all year long! Haha :)

So last week i felt a bit in a christmasmood when i received her parcel from the mailman!

A beautiful box with an owl pattern filled with yummy chocolate, the little ones i don't dare to eat yet, they're so beautiful in their lovely papers...

Mina also made me some lavender sachets in her enveloppe design! I really like those, and they smell so good, a bit of the Provence in my closet!

And then there was also the gorgeous scarf boyfriend gave me for my birthday! It's made by Mina, and i absolutely love it! The fabric, the print, the way it's made... a bit of Mina with me everywhere i go :-)

And ofcourse there was a letter, a long letter! I enjoyed reading it with a good cup of tea. And now i better get my christmas parcel ready...

The Blue Rabbit House

I've been a fan of Eva's work since i started following her blog. A bit later i was so lucky to receive these beautiful coasters of her during the Autumn gift swap, so wellmade, i still love the leaves sewed on the coasters!

Some time ago i saw this crochet hook holder on her blog and contacted her, Eva was so nice to make another one for me. It looks even better in real life, love the colors and the patterns she combined! Now i can take my crochet hooks wherever i'm going..

Craft it forward!

Some weeks ago i saw on Claudia's blog she was looking for people to play this Craft it forward with... I'm always in for some creativity so i commented & some days ago i got mail from her!
