Cold weekend

What a cold weekend!
If i remember correctly we were sitting outside last year with a mojito! This year the woodfire is on to make us warm cause this icy wind makes you feel so cold.
We enjoyed our weekend anyway, friday bf & i went on a little roadtrip in Zeeland. We visited some thriftstores but found nothing special, luckily there was some other shopping in Sluis too, and yummy pancakes! Oh and we spotted these storks, next to the tree where our car was parked. They were busy making a nest... beautiful!

Saturday we raised our glasses to my friend Iris' birthday and went for a tasty dinner.

And sunday was, once again, all about being lazy :) Although i like those cosy days inside, i do think we've had enough by now. I can't wait to spent more time outside, but it doens't seem to be for anytime soon..

Fingers crossed for some spring feeling soon...

Lovely walk in the forest

Today was a really nice sunday. It started with a relaxing morning at home, don't you just love those sunday mornings with a long breakfast and afterwards some hanging around doing everything and nothing.  And this morning, when i looked outside, the morning really had gold in the mouth as we say! The early sunlight gave all our trees this wonderful golden look. ♥

 

This afternoon we made a beautiful autumn walk with friends, with lots of laughter & talks.

We enjoyed all the magical colors and mushrooms and the smell of autumn...

Afterwards we had some deliscious pancakes and mint tea.

Vintage girls

Part 1 of my holidays are finished, i started working again on monday. I miss our lazy days and doing all the things we felt like... but in some weeks part 2 starts so we've got something to look forward to!

We're going to my beloved France again, can't wait!!

I've received some nice postcards in my mailbox recently and as a collector of postcards, they always bring a big smile on my face when i find them in my mailbox :)

I'll show them soon, which reminds me i still have to show some pics of the perfect tin box i won with Lisa's giveaway!! It was filled with little treasures, which i loved ♥

Still have to answer letters... Barbara, Claudia, Heidi, Lisa, Chantal, Mina... you're on my 'write back to'-list :-)

And then these super cute vintage girl heads!! Aren't they adorable?

I got them as a birthday gift from a friend! I love them. And now i have to find a good spot to hang them on the wall.. maybe next to the entrance door?

. We went to a sunny fleamarket! Finally sunshine again, what a treat!

.  I enjoyed discovering what's in this bag full of beautiful greenish buttons i found in a thriftstore!

 On this rainy, windy, sunny day (yes a little bit of everything around here!), i've added some new things in my Etsy-shop, you can find them here.

I've started making little piles with clothes for our holiday in France, i always love to make them cause then i know it's getting closer! Time to count the days..yay!

Oh oh.. Blogger surprised me with the new lay out  this morning and i'm already totally confused!!Help!! This looks so weird... Oh well, let's just go for it and see what will come out of it :) Don't shoot me if it looks strange!

I've said it before and i will mention it again, this blogworld has brought me some wonderful new friends, so great to see all the same minded people find eachother here through our blogs..

I've received some lovely mail the latest months, i can't get enough of it!

When i entered Vibeke's snail mail swap some months ago i had to write Heidi in Finland, exciting cause Heidi doesn't have a blog which could tell me more about her interests! We wrote eachother and when i got her letter it felt good. And some weeks ago a second letter of her arrived, i was smiling when i was reading it cause we seem to have quite some things in common, so i think a beautiful pen pal friendship might be born!! Love it :)

Weekend!

Yay!! It's weekend! Yay!! Bf's coming home tomorrow!
Things started to get a bit lonely here at home!

Here are some of the vintage gifts i got from Cy during our yearly Christmas-gifts-evening!! There's more, lots more even! I can't show them all, but some i'll show in a next post.
Some might think our gifts are silly, but for us they're all little treasures and very fitting to what we love & like :)
Oh btw, i didn't get the cat in a gift, only the cat-pillow hihi

I heard winter will finally arrive this weekend! We might even see some snow...

Mina & myself, we've got this weird habit of sending eachother xmas-parcels in the middle of the year! It's becoming quite a habit and i think it would be so weird if presents actually arrived on time for once :)
So last week i celebrated a bit of xmas after the postman surprised me with this box, decorated with a cloud and birds... i mmediately knew where that box came from!
What was inside made me so happy, the beautiful gifts and a letter to guide me through them...
Oh how i will enjoy the chocolate, the beautiful music, another cute little doll and this amazing selfmade bag!!! It's so wellmade i'm afraid to use it... and totally my style! Think polkadots & russian dolls!! Yay!
Parcels like these brighten up my day & now it's my turn cause Mina's still waiting for her xmas-gifts... Oh my!

And what an exciting day this is.... we're september the 13th!! Today is THE day my friend Cy is supposed to give birth to Boelie Woelie!! I've been running around like a crazy one since yesterday cause i'm really nervous now in her place!
Auntie Vie is waiting!! Hurry little one :)

Happy homecoming!

Unfortunately... our lovely holiday in France came to an end already! Days went by so fast but i guess that's good cause that means they were good days!

And it was a happy homecoming: cuddle time with the cats & friends surprised us with yummy selfmade strawberry jam and cookies!!

Miss Polkadot

Yesterday my friend gave me this cute polkadot doll!! Isn't she adorable? And since i'm crazy about polkadots so suiting for me! I named her Miss Polkadot, and the way her head is bobbling i think she likes her new name ;-)

Box on a visit.

My friend Cy found this beautiful tin box in the house of her grandma. We're always on the lookout for nice vintage stuff, boxes like this one make our hearts beat a little bit faster...

And! What made this find even better: the box was filled with buttons!! Yay!

The box stayed for some days while i picked the buttons i fancy and then went back to Cy!
