The cabinet

My cabinet, also known as my happy corner in the house, is filled with vintage treasures. Actually, they're treasures to me, some might only see them as old silly toys..

My bf calls it an organised mess :)

Guess you can say it's a bit of a mess in the cabinet and i really should re-organise everything and maybe leave some of the things out of it, but help!! I'm so bad at throwing things away.

I think i'll keep the organised mess for a bit longer!

We're almost december, the biggest presents-month of the year, so i think that deserves a little giveaway!

 

I'm a fool for these wooden christmas decorations, i keep buying them in the thriftstore. Somehow these little dolls cheer me up and i get really excited if i find a special one.

I figured since i've got so many of them it would be nice to share some.

Home of the wooden people

When my friend and i are going to the thriftstore or fleamarkets, we're always searching for wooden people. (Old ones ofcourse :) ) They've become hard to find around here, or maybe we bought them all by now?? It's quite a happy moment when we do spot one!

I've got this bright green Ikea-cabinet where i put my best old finds in and i like seeing all the funny wooden figures in there, they always make me happy! And most of them do have a smiling face, maybe that's why they bring happiness?

Do you guys have a special collection that makes you happy?

Thriftstore treasures..

3 new ladies arrived at my house saturday! I found them in the local thriftstore, all for a little price. I can't wait to find a perfect cabinet for my wooden dolls cause most of them are stocked in a box for now....

I got these in the same week from 2 different friends, aren't they both cuties?
I had to storage my wooden dolls in a box for the time being, bf needed the space for his vinyl player, but slowly the new gained wooden dolls aren taking over again :-)
I feel a 'revenge of the wooden dolls' coming up!!

Miss Polkadot

Yesterday my friend gave me this cute polkadot doll!! Isn't she adorable? And since i'm crazy about polkadots so suiting for me! I named her Miss Polkadot, and the way her head is bobbling i think she likes her new name ;-)

All the ladies in the house

The wooden dolls crowd is getting bigger & bigger. But as much as i like them they're becoming a little nightmare when it comes to cleaning my cabinet! So now i'm searching for an old nice cabinet with glass to store them dust-free... and in the meanwhile all the ladies (oh and the few men too!) grin at me while i polish their heads!
